Breakup with your girlfriend over this?
In 2005 i met a woman, fell in love with her , her with me. But we lived in different states. Well after visiting her on numerous occasions, i decided to give up my job to be with her. One of her kids is handicap and slow, and i felt sorry for the fact that he had no father figure, her other son is a typical teenager. So i moved here in October of 09, things were great, but lately things have been going down hill. Her youngest son is 14 and literally hates me because he’ is a republican and iam a democrat, literally. He’s very disrespectful towards me and ive tried to talk to my girlfriend about it and she doesnt see a problem with his actions. For example, after i say something, sometimes he will say that what i said was stupid! He will come in from school and walk right past me like iam invisible, and continue throughout the day. I spend most of my time helping the other one get to the toilet, getting him food, drinks ect. My girlfriend goes to work late in the day around 5pm, shes a bartender at a resturant, and normally doesnt come in untill 12am. Over the last 2 months we have not been having sex at all!!! And i have confronted her on this and she says its because she’s tired or because i’ve been drinking wine or beer or whatever her bogus excuse is, we literally have had sex twice since december 1st. I told my friends about her actions which include, calling me telling me she’s about to get off around 9pm, but walking in around 1am. Even though the place closes at 10pm she claims she has to stay and do stuff normally untill midnight. She and the other son who’s non handicap just have started to drive me crazy. Her sons address her parents by thier first names which i dont agree with, but when i suggest they use grandma and grandpa they tell me I’m wrong, and she thinks they should be able to call them whatever they want to. They have no disipline at all, and whenever i try the fatherly stuff, my girlfriend never takes my side, she always sides with her sons. Other day i caught one of them trying to copy my credit card number, but i walked in on them in the act. My girlfriend comes home, i tell her about the situation, she tells me her sons would never use my credit card!!! Even though the boy admitted he was going to use it to buy songs from itunes!!!! I have given up on trying to be a dad to these guys because they have no respect for me or my property, and with my sex life in the dumpster, do you think it’s time for me to call my old boss and head back to work? I have no family or friends in this state, and im really starting to feel depressed about how this how thing turned out. And if you would break up with her, how would you put it to her?

if you want to dump her say that you have to go back because your mum is ’sick’ and she wants to see you or makke an excuse coz it sounds like shes taking u for granted and she sounds like she soesnt even care about u! so its not really that important try to maake a few frnds in the state (i know its gonna be hard leaving the kids home but TRY) go v=back to ur job back in ur state and find someone who actually loves u and someone tht UR HAPPy with whats the point of life if your miserable evryday???? thank god u ddnt commit sucide…

Looks like your a free babysitter! One who fell in love with a woman who fell in love with being out with you. I don’t want to say get the heck out but If you can’t talk her into making your relationship a two way deal….then…mabye…

forgod sake get over her and move on…u have quit ur job for her and her sons…what else can she ask for!…u have done everything u could on ur part…changing states and jobs for someone who doesn’t even give u respect doesn’t sound right…give it a last try talking to her that if she keeps on continuing this u will have to move on…if she doesn’t care then really..MOVE ON

okay well i’d say, man up. do you what makes you happy! you cant base your life on someone else unless you really truly feel that you love them, and to me, you might have use to love her, but you dont anymore or else you wouldnt have thoughts of leaving her. if being with her and her family doesnt make you happy then just do what makes you happy. shes a mother and no mother would choose a guy over their kids, so your best off without her if your not happy with her. I mean yeas youve been together for quite sometime, and yes if you feel you cannot live without her then try and staay and work it out, but if you feel your just wasting your time, then make yourself happy. you need to make that decission on your own and you cant ask for advice on it. it concerns YOUR life, not anyone else’s. its not going to effect me or anyone else saying "just break up with her or stay with her" its your life thats gonna be effected.
if you choose to break up with her, i’d say just tell her straight up. "im sorry but things have changed between us and i just dont feel that this is right for me anymore. i still love you but right now i need to do whats best for me and my life"

She’s using you. Her kids are doing what they’re doing with her blessing, if not her prompting.
Worst part is if you leave, she’ll make you out to be the "bad guy".

Yes, get the fu[k out! Put it gently, tell her you are sick and tired of being put on the backburner sexually, her sons are undisciplined brats and you ain’t putting up with it anymore. Then just pack your stuff and get out! You will be much better of, believe me!!!
